Eye Clinic
The Johnson City Eye Clinic was established in 1942, evolving into what was to become the renowned Johnson City Eye Hospital. From this foundation, the Johnson City Eye Clinic has grown to provide a complete spectrum of eye care and surgical services in one facility for adult and pediatric patients. In addition to comprehensive eye care, our doctors specialize in cataract surgeries, the treatment of glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal disease, cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries, and pediatric ophthalmology.
Johnson City Eye Clinic has the benefit of nine physicians and over one hundred ophthalmic staff members serving patients in TN, VA, KY, and NC. We work closely with area Optometrists who share the same philosophy of excellence in eye care. We believe that together we offer the patients in our region superior eye care and surgery services.
In 2004 the Johnson City Eye Clinic combined clinical, educational and surgical facilities to form the Johnson City Eye Center located in Med Tech Park.
Johnson City Eye Surgery Center
The Johnson City Eye Surgery Center was founded by the doctors of Johnson City Eye Clinic as the next step in their commitment to providing complete eye care services — and it continues to set the standard for ophthalmic surgery in the region.
Located at 2014 Hopewell Drive in Med Tech Park, the Surgery Center occupies a purpose-built, 22,000-square-foot facility designed from the ground up for ophthalmic surgery. With six operating rooms, dedicated procedure rooms, and semi-private bays for preoperative and postoperative care, the center is built to deliver a safe, efficient, and patient-centered surgical experience.
The facility incorporates advanced systems that support the precision our surgeons demand, including a Reverse Osmosis Deionization (RODI) water filtration system for sterile processing, continuously monitored HVAC for optimal air quality and temperature control, and enhanced decontamination and sterile processing equipment that meets and exceeds current industry standards. Automatic doors and advanced security access controls support seamless patient flow while maintaining a secure environment.
The Surgery Center is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC) and is expertly staffed by a team of doctors, nurses, and technicians dedicated exclusively to ophthalmology. Our patient care is second to none.
Cosmetic Laser Skin Care
Cosmetic Laser Skin Care, located adjacent to the clinic, was established in 2002 as part of the vision of the Johnson City Eye Clinic. Our Doctors have a special interest in plastic surgery for upper and lower eyelids and offer full face laser resurfacing, plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries.
In addition to the cosmetic surgeries and services including Botox® Cosmetic, Restalyn and Juvederm, Cosmetic Laser Skin Care offers a large variety of Day Spa Services. All of these contribute to a clearer, more youthful look for people of all ages and skin types.
