The Johnson City Eye Surgery Center is a purpose-built, 22,000-square-foot ophthalmic surgery facility located at 2014 Hopewell Drive in Med Tech Park. Designed from the ground up for eye surgery, the center features six operating rooms, dedicated procedure rooms, and semi-private bays for preoperative and postoperative care — all staffed by a team of doctors, nurses, and technicians dedicated exclusively to ophthalmology.

Every detail of the facility is designed to support a safe, efficient, and comfortable surgical experience — from a Reverse Osmosis Deionization (RODI) water filtration system for sterile processing, to continuously monitored HVAC for optimal air quality and temperature control, to enhanced decontamination and sterile processing equipment that meets and exceeds current industry standards. The Surgery Center is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC).

Surgical Services

Our surgeons perform a wide range of ophthalmic procedures at the Surgery Center, including:

  • Cataracts — Advanced cataract removal and intraocular lens implantation to restore clear vision.

  • Eyelid & Eyebrow Surgery — Functional and cosmetic procedures to correct drooping eyelids, improve peripheral vision, and rejuvenate the area around the eyes.

  • Glaucoma — Surgical treatments to lower eye pressure and protect against further vision loss.

  • Retina & Vitreous Disorders — Procedures addressing conditions such as retinal detachment, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.

  • Strabismus — Eye muscle surgery to correct misalignment in both children and adults.

  • Cornea — Corneal transplants and other procedures to treat corneal disease, scarring, and injury.
